TekMinds is co-led by Adeel Shah and Taimur Amjad. The founders worked in strategy and operations roles across several industry verticals in the United States for over 20 years. Both friends found themselves relocating to Pakistan in 2016 looking to leverage their US experience with the availability of a highly skilled, low-cost labor pool in Pakistan. This was the birth of TekMinds, which today services a US client base from our offices in Pakistan, delivering high quality electrical design and engineering services at a fraction of the cost.
Women empowerment is a core mission for TekMinds. Only 25% of women with a college degree join the workforce in Pakistan. This is even lower for women in the STEM fields. We want to change that! TekMinds actively recruits female engineers and offers transportation and remote work benefits to facilitate them – 40% of our staff are women and we strive to increase this percentage.

Adeel Shah
Adeel is also the Co-Founder of TekMinds with technical sales and engineering experience working in North America. His focus is on building and managing the technical capabilities of TekMinds. He plays a key role in resource selection, their training and on-boarding for clients. A typical day at TekMinds includes review of deliverables clients seek and developing resource and technical solutions to help them overcome their challenges. Prior to founding TekMinds Adeel spent 25 years in the US working across diverse industries such as construction materials and bio-medical devices. He currently also oversees his family panel manufacturing operations in Pakistan. He completed his B.S in Electrical Engineering from the Northwestern University and MBA from Case Western Reserve University. He splits his time between Karachi, Pakistan and Washington D.C.

Two Models for Engagement
Resource Based
- Client provides requirements (expertise, experience, skills) for a full-time resource
- TekMinds assigns available resource or hires and trains new candidate for the resource
- Upon customer approval, resource is assigned, dedicated to customer projects and under client supervision
- TekMinds manages training, infrastructure, and replacement as needed
MONTHLY BILLING PER RESOURCE
Project Based
- Client emails assignment to TekMinds / conference call as needed
- TekMinds assigns available resources to project
- Deliverable emailed to client, typically in 24-48 hours
- Client provides feedback and TekMinds makes revisions

Yes. We can assign technically qualified and experienced engineers that directly work under your team on a full-time basis. TekMinds handles the infrastructure, training, and quality oversight throughout the period of their assignment.
Your resources will work in alignment with your working hours and project schedule. We leverage all communication channels including Skype, Slack, and of course the regular phone call. We recommend frequent ad-hoc and structured touch points as you would for your in-house resources.
We go to great lengths to select the best talent. But we realize it doesn’t always work out. If you are not satisfied we take corrective actions including replacement of resource/team to better match your needs.
This depends on your requirements, including timelines and stakeholder involvement, as well as project complexity. It is likely that we will have some form of daily interaction with clients, and then more formal weekly, bi-weekly and monthly progress reports.
No tasks is too small for us. Even if a tasks requires just a few hours we can handle it for you. We are confident you will be satisfied and trust us to become a long-term partner.
TekMinds is based out of Sterling, Virginia, while our engineering resources are based in Pakistan. We have deep roots and a strong base in Pakistan allowing us to hire and retain the best talent for our clients.
