In addition to our core engineering services, we also provide services for other corporate functions such as marketing, finance, and operations. ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a full-time Solar Design Engineer to perform engineering and project support tasks for commercial and utility scale solar / photovoltaic systems. All work will be performed for clients outside of Pakistan, primarily in the United States.
The individual must have expertise in detailed design packages for utility-scale solar PV systems including plan and elevation drawings, schematics, and energy model calculations.
The candidate must be extremely task and detail-oriented and strive for zero tolerance in meeting quality objectives and deadlines. The ideal candidate must possess professional command of English, written and verbal, and be skilled in use of AutoCAD, PVsyst, and Helioscope.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create conceptual design layouts and electrical diagrams for commercial scale solar arrays utilizing AutoCAD, Helios 3D and PVsyst
- Create energy models for commercial & Utility scale solar arrays utilizing PVSYST and Helioscope
- Create electrical single/three-line diagrams, panel schedules, or connection diagrams for solar electric systems, using computer-aided design (must have AutoCAD experience preferred)
- Provide technical support to client development, engineering, procurement, construction, and O&M departments for the entire life cycle of a project including development, permitting, construction and asset management phases
- Interact with a variety of engineering disciplines including civil, geotechnical, structural, and electrical
- Support utility interconnection and permitting application processes
- Additional duties as assigned and/or directed
REQUIRED SKILL SET
- Degree in electrical engineering or equivalent certification and experience
- 2+ years of work experience in Solar Design
- AutoCAD, PVsyst, PVCase, & Helioscope software proficiency
- MS Word, and Excel software proficiency
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple projects and tasks
