From the US Boardroom
to Pakistan

TekMinds is co-led by Adeel Shah and Taimur Amjad — two friends who each built careers of 20+ years in North America before relocating to Pakistan in 2016. Adeel had grown the family's switchgear manufacturing business into a regional powerhouse; Taimur had founded and scaled a Washington, DC consulting firm to over 100 professionals.

Both saw the same opportunity: Pakistan's engineering graduates are talented, technically rigorous, and deeply motivated — but often lack the international exposure and project experience their potential demands. TekMinds was launched to close that gap. By pairing US-trained leadership with Pakistan's engineering workforce, we created a model that delivers genuine quality to demanding US clients — at a cost structure that makes real business sense.

What started as a small team serving one client in 2021 has grown to 100+ professionals across electrical, mechanical, civil, finance, and project management disciplines — with a roster of repeat clients who rely on TekMinds as an embedded extension of their own teams.

Engineering, globally, skews heavily male — and South Asian engineering firms even more so. TekMinds is intentionally different.
